They are close together on the map but there isn't a direct line between them. The easy way, of course, is to take a taxi. The two stations are so close together that cost would be minimal and you wouldn't have to worry about time.

The choice they listed first was to go to RER line A (Auber) in the direction of Marne-la-Vallee Chessey and go only to Chatelet-les-Halles. There you walk to RER line D and take it in the direction of Goussainville to the Gare du Nord. Supposedly this takes 23 minutes (if the trains are on time and you don't get lost).
