Hi. Realizing your post is a year old, you may not be interested any more but just in case you are . . .
I've never heard of Niece, France (spelled any way) and it is not in my Michelin "France Tourist and Motoring Atlas" that includes even the tiny communes on back roads. I did Wikipedia, Yahoo and Google searches and found Niece many times and in each case someone had spelled Nice incorrectly . . . even in scientific journals.
I would be surprised if you were referring to Nice, France on the Riviera because it is not a very small town; it is a very large city and major tourist destination. We fly into and out of the international airport in Nice often.
There is a small town, Necy, in Normandy and that would be an easy drive to Paris. Chur in Switzerland is on the east side of Switzerland so not near any particular place in France. Nearly any place in mid to north-eastern France would be between Chur and Paris.
Were you flying or on a tour bus? Do you remember how long it took and if there was a nearby fairly large city or if you went through a fairly large city between Chur and Niece?
Any further information would be most helpful. Perhaps you saved a program from the tour?
The missing town
