How bizarre...

How weird it is that some Americans have "deeply" fallen in love with France (I'm french) and some others got mentally sick: http://www.stuffucanuse.com/swiss/french.htm

I took it with humour but I don't get his purpose... why can the French make you feel love and hatred towards them ??? Should we be proud of that ? What does it mean ??
