Just returned from a great holiday in the south of France Aquitaine, Lot-et-Garonne, I wanted to rent a gite direct with the property owner and not use a travel agent. I came across serveral websites that advertised gite rental. However, the one we used was www.SimplyGites.com it was an easy to use site, and put us in contact with the owner. It was a great experience and would recommend it to anyone.

An other very interesting site is http://www.horeca-france.com On this site it's very easy (and free) to find hotels, gites, campings,etc for sale in France. So when you want to stay longer in france (not only for a holiday): have a look on this site!
