From Gare du Nord to Gare de Lyon
Submitted by RetiredBob on March 28, 2006 - 1:16pm.
My wife and I will be taking the Eurostar from London to Paris, and continuing on to Burgundy. What is the best (easiest) way to get to the Gare de Lyon from Gare du Nord? We will each have a small backpack and a wheeled carry-on bag.

Sounds like you are going to have a lovely trip. We're headed to Scotland in April-May and then to France for September-October. We'll just be in the Loire this time though.
Have a great trip!
I should have looked at the RER map instead of the Metro map. It's much easier to read . . . not so many lines.
Again, apologies and have a great trip. Are you doing a canal trip in England too?
We'll be near there in September-October but we're renting a house on dry land.
Happy travels!
Good for you, canal trips
You could also do the Metro to Chatelet les Halles and switch to RER A. Either way works. There are fewer stops on the RER so it's probably faster. I didn't check times.
You can check schedules and routes at http://www.ratp.fr/
Enjoy your trip. Where are you staying in Burgundy? Lovely countryside!
