France and the USThe Other Coyboy PresidentSubmitted by Amero-Franc on June 15, 2004 - 7:29am.As many of you well see the French don't take too well to Bush and call him a Cowboy.
How do you thing the French took to President Reagan? He was both seen as cowboy and a conservitive. Do the French, however, see Reagan in a different light. Reagan to many was more classy. The Presidential Talor (A Frenchman) says that he thinks that Reagon was the best President he ever served. He thought he was very classy and polite. DO you think the French see the other Coyboy in a good light? John Kerry or George Bush?Submitted by Kermit on May 20, 2004 - 11:52am.If the U.S presidency were dependent on France, who would win? John Kerry or George Bush? (I think I know the answer) Now that being said, if we suspend reality for a momemt and you were able to whisper in the ear of the Average American voter as he or she was in the voting booth, what would you say to the voters of the United States?
See Free Rail Pass offer for D-Day Veterans in the Travel Help Section belowSubmitted by SalB on April 27, 2004 - 3:17pm.There is an offer of a free rail pass to American and Canadian D-Day Veterans. I've posted the information and web link in the Travel Help section below.
Hopefully, this will help cure the France-USA rift that is the subject of this post. It is a generous offer anyway. French view of American tourism:Submitted by rodomantade on April 18, 2004 - 1:03pm.Hi- This is my first post, as I just registered to learn more about France (travelling)and apologize if this is in the wrong forum. Anyway, my question is: How are American tourists viewed in France? More specifiaclly, American military members (on vacation). I am deeply patriotic to my country, but I am also very open to studying/understanding different languages and cultures. I've always had a desire to visit France, and plan to in the near future. I just wanted to know how I would be treated there, after current events. Thanks.

Natasha Ethics Thread:Submitted by Amero-Franc on April 2, 2004 - 12:49pm.This is a thread I am creating where anyone can report Name Calling, smearing, Hostile remarks (without backing), etc.
This is not for reporting people just because they're radical. I think people have complained about this and in order to have better Dialogue we need to keep such things out. We need to save this from being an Ego forum. After someone posts a hostile name calling quote, we will all just comment about how revolting the quote is until he recants. (I am not some type of admin and if I am in violation of any rules please tell me) |
