What part of Caen to stay in?

My husband and I are planning to spend 2 nights in Caen. We will be seeing the Normandy beaches (with a tour) on one of the two days. The only other definite thing we plan to do is see the Caen peace museum/memorial on the alternate day. I understand that the museum is on the edge of town. So my question is, would it make more sense to stay in the city center or to stay near the museum? It seems there are several options in the 30 euro/double range in either place. We are traveling by rail and will not have a car.

Thank you for your advice!

looking for accommodation in marseilles

Hello!
Do you know of any cheap hostel or a room for rent for about a week in Marseilles in August? If so please let me know! I'll appreciate your help. Or perhaps you would like an exchange with a flat in Krakow, Poland. I can offer a nice flat in a beautiful city in the south of Poland in August in exchange for a flat in Marseilles or some other city in the south of France.

Formule 1 Hotels in Paris

My husband and I are considering staying in the Formule 1 hotels in the suburbs of Paris when we visit there to help cut costs. I was wondering if anyone knows which ones are in good locations, with easy access to public transportation into the city. It would be great if you could let me know!

Thanks,
Tish

room accommodation

hello, i need an advise on where i could get a room (not a hotel) for a two week vacation tour for me and my wife, preferably near Versailles. I want to know also the price for the accommodation.

P.S. Any family residence who can extend a room accommodation will be much appreciated. We will pay for the room stay.\

France during The Tour

We are visiting France in July to see the Tour. We plan to begin our trip in the Loire Valley. We will be there for about 1-2 days. We are looking for lodging and transportation suggestions coming from Paris. After this point, we are headed to Grenoble where we already have hotel reservations. We plan to take a train from the Loire Valley area into Grenoble. After Grenoble, we are following the Tour to Lons le Saunier. We need to know how long this distance is since we are trying to leave Grenoble and get there the same day? Also, what would be our best mode of transportation? After this stage, we want to spend some time and visit Beaune. Again, how far is this from that point? And, any suggestions on lodging?
