Stopovers between Nice and Paris (train)

Hi,

We'll be travelling from Nice to Paris in June next year, probably by train, on our way to England.

Any suggestions for stopovers between Nice and Paris. We have broad interests and enjoy just about everything!

Many thanks

Rail in France?

I am having trouble regarding train travel in france and between france and germany.

When I search online I am able to find Rail Europe, Eurail, and Euro Railways.

They all seem to offer the same kind of packages...but searching for specific trains produces different results. Also, some of them have night trains and some dont, and some require reservations and some dont. And I am not sure if a reservation needs to be booked now, before I leave for my trip...or when I get to the station and ready to go? I am so confused!

I was wondering if anyone can explain which of these is better and how to go about bookings. I'm finding it extremely confusing! :(

Scootering en France...

hello,A friend and I are planning a trip to France in September, scootering around the Central Vineyards of the Loire Valley and Northern Burgundy, probably taking the train to Beaune or Dijon and making that our starting point...Does anyone know where we can hire classic Vespas/Lambrettas in that region? Despite Paris being buzzing with them and the internet implying it's dead easy to hire scooters in virtually any French town, we only seem to be able to find one place in Beaune that rents out modern Yamahas...Also what the law is in France regarding scooter riding?

What's your favorite Hotel in Bibione?

I will be visiting Bibione this year and want a review of that place from you people. Please suggest me any names for a suitable and decent hotel in Bibione.  The rooms should be neat because cleanliness is important and should be spacious .One more thing is that the reception staff should be very pleasant and helpful because grouchy faces may spoil my mood of enjoyment. Your suggestions are welcome.

I would like to help anyone travelling to France and wanting to rent a gite directly with the property owner. I would highly recommend www.simplygites.com as we have just returned from a great holiday all booked through simply gites.

Stop Over Paris

Hi, My friend and I are joining a winery tour to Chablis and Burgundy the late August.  We are thinking to stop over to Paris for Friday-Sunday before we head up to Chablis.

In the Forum, I found that Normandie and Loire sounds interesting, are they public transportation accessible? Is train convenient?.  IS day trip doable?

Also, we know nothing about lodging, such as B&B, hotel.  Should we find some here close to train station? Any idea?
