Bourgogne

While driving through Burgundy last week, I took these pictures. Most of them where from the little medieval village of Flavigny sur Ozerain. Wonderful little town.

Before getting to Flavigny, I saw this barge and thought it would make a nice photo. Maybe a little too 'postcardish' , but nice nonetheless:

Then, as I entered the little town I saw a scene which made me do a double-take. Then I snapped this photo:

Burgundy is one of the richest regions of France and its historic towns and villages are the product of many centuries of civilization.

It's a region known the wolrd over as the producer of some of the finest wines and food available anywhere on this planet.
