Lyon

Lyon, france's second largest city, is a jewel. It's a major centre of business, and is the French capital of gastronomy and has a significant role in the history of cinema. The architechture is beautiful, and don't miss december 8th, when the whole city lights up. Lyon is a great city to live in or just visit for a few days. If you pass by this georgeous city, make a stop, you won't regret it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyon

me and my family go to chamonix in haute savoie very often. it is absoulutely spectacular. we go skiing in les houches and it is brilliant. the pistes are breathtaking and the views of mont blanc is awesome. we go to Chamonix very often. it is a very typical French town and there is everything you need there. If you want to go to a nice French Restaurant try "la Couz'na" in les houches beside the bellvue lift. we live in paris so we can visit our Chalet in Taconnaz if anything comes up. The roads are very good and Italy is on you Doorstep. Skiing is good in courmayeur. Chamonix c'est inoubliable!
